My story

I'm Logan, and I'd like to take you on a journey as we explore a brighter future for women in sports. My passion for sports and the outdoors has always been a driving force in my life.

From a young age, I was often labeled a "tomboy" simply for enjoying sports and outdoor activities. I'm determined to change the narrative for today's young girls. My goal is to challenge the negative stereotypes ingrained in people's minds and in what's taught to young girls. I want to teach them that it's absolutely fine to be adventurous, inquisitive, and athletic.

High school presented its own set of challenges as I pursued my love for sports without conforming to the tomboy label. During lunch breaks, I'd would play soccer, basketball, and footy with the boys. I was the sole girl in those games, which sometimes made me feel like an outsider. I desired to maintain my femininity while having fun and engaging in sports.

During my time in college, I was the only girl to join a mountain biking camp in Derby with my classmates. It was here that I discovered my love for mountain biking. I learned to embrace my uniqueness and not conform to societal norms. But the truth is, it shouldn't be unusual for girls and women to participate in sports and action sports without facing barriers or doubt.

This is why I established The Girl’s Day Out. I encourage every woman to give sports a try. It's time to break free from outdated constraints and explore the thrill of sports without any limitations.
